About

I’ve been immersed in nutrition and wellness for most of my life.

I grew up in a home where food, movement, and health were a daily focus; my dad was a chef, and my mom was a nurse who leaned toward more natural approaches to health. That combination shaped how I think about food and the body from an early age. But like a lot of women, it wasn’t until college that I really started to understand how much what I eat impacts how I feel.

After gaining the “freshman 15,” I began working at a weight loss company where I coached clients weekly; reviewing food logs, working through plateaus, and helping them build better habits. During that time, I was also following the same system myself and experienced firsthand how powerful simple nutrition changes can be.

Since then, I’ve spent over a decade immersed in the world of nutrition and wellness. I’ve worked with multiple personal trainers and nutrition coaches, studied different approaches to health, read extensively, and spent years learning what actually works in real life.

I’ve also created hundreds of meal plans for customers, myself and my family, and spent years helping people put simple, balanced meals on the table in a way that’s realistic and sustainable.

More recently, my focus has shifted toward hormone health, especially for women in their late 30s and 40s. As I’ve navigated my own experience with perimenopause, I’ve seen just how much things like protein, fiber, and blood sugar balance can affect energy, mood, metabolism, and even PMS symptoms.

That’s what led me here.

Now, I combine my background in nutrition, coaching, years of hands-on experience, and real-life application to help women build simple, sustainable habits that support their metabolism, hormones, and overall health.

Rooted in a More Ancestral Way of Eating

My approach to nutrition is rooted in simplicity and going back to the basics. My family and I own a small farm where we raise our own food, and that has deeply shaped how I think about nutrition and health.

Over time, I’ve moved away from the modern, overly processed approach to food and toward a more ancestral way of eating; focusing on whole foods, quality ingredients, and meals that actually nourish the body.

Because the reality is, many of the symptoms’ women experience today such as low energy, hormone imbalances, blood sugar swings, etc. are often connected to how far we’ve drifted from the way our bodies were designed to be supported.

That doesn’t mean making everything from scratch and eating organ meats. But it does mean simplifying, focusing on nutrient-dense foods, and building habits that align with what the body really needs. That philosophy is at the core of how I coach.

Why Cedar & Sage

The name Cedar & Sage reflects the foundation of how I approach health and nutrition.

Cedar represents strength, grounding, and being deeply rooted. Like cedar trees, our health is built over time through consistent, foundational habits that support the body long-term.

Sage has been used for centuries in both food and traditional practices, symbolizing nourishment, wisdom, and a more natural approach to supporting the body.

Together, Cedar & Sage represents a return to the basics; focusing on simple, nourishing foods and habits that align with how our bodies were designed to function.
